After transferring to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion following his first year of college, Alex Cabungcal found the university’s new engineering technology program to be a perfect fit. In May he became one of the first graduates to earn a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ.

The opening reception of the 2024 Warren G. Harding Symposium will provide participants the opportunity to explore the Harding Home, Press House and Harding Library & Museum, enjoy plenty of food and beverages, and attend a panel discussion involving descendants of three First Ladies.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Qudsia Tahmina and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion undergraduate Student Researcher, John Simonis, recently partnered with lead author and researcher ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ College of Medicine Research Scientist, John LaRocca to co-author research on a new type of dart launcher has been developed as a safer and more cost-effective alternative to firearms or air guns to inject animals with drugs or tracking chips.

Award-winning educator, speaker, and author Rebecca Boggs Roberts will visit ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion, Saturday, July 20, 2024, to discuss her latest book Untold Power, The Fascinating Rise and Complex Legacy of First Lady Edith Wilson, as part of three workshop sessions during the two-day long Warren G. Harding Symposium July 19-20, 2024.

Each year, a growing number of baccalaureate degree seeking students on campus are in the unique position to work directly with faculty experts on real world research. Taking part in research as an undergraduate student is somewhat unique for smaller colleges and universities across the country. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion was recently presented one of six 2024 United Way of North Central Ohio’s Impact Awards for their work in support of the Marion Microfarm Project.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion recently added Cassady McAvoy as a case manager to the staff of the Counseling and Wellness Center.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion junior biology major Wesley Bush was recently named a Pelotonia Undergraduate Scholar by The James Comprehensive Cancer Center at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ. The award is the seventh such honor since 2018 for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ students working with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion faculty research mentors.
