ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ senior neuroscience major Louis Gibson was recently named a Pelotonia Undergraduate Scholar by The James Comprehensive Cancer Center at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ.  The award is the sixth such honor since 2018 for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ students working with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion faculty mentors.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion sophomore aviation engineering major Katelynn M Basinger has accepted an invitation of lifetime membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), the nation’s leading certified honor society for high-achieving first- and second-year college students with a minimum of a 3.4 GPA.

Director of Academic Services, Shellie Shirk was recently awarded the 2023 Marion Staff Advisory Committee's Outstanding Staff Award for her service to students, faculty, fellow staff at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion history alum Keily Cunningham spearheaded the old Marion cemetery cleanup project with the women's club. She is the archivist of the club records and joined the Club's board this year. She is also the curator at Galion History center.

In the spirit of kicking off the new academic year, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion welcomes back the Palace Theatre Big Band to campus, Friday, September 8, 6 p.m. on the steps of the Library Classroom Building as part of a free outdoor community concert called Sunset Serenade.

For ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion junior aerospace engineering major Jackson Crawford, his experience with STEP led to a paid trip to Switzerland working with drones. A trip that, according to Crawford, has left an indelible impression.

Each year leading into the start of autumn semester, the Office of Student Life, Diversity and Inclusion in conjunction with other campus departments and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ hosts a series of fun and engaging events to allow new freshmen and returning Buckeyes the opportunity to get to know fellow Buckeyes and the campus community as a whole a little better.
