Middle school students from five area schools came to the Marion campus to test their math prowess in the Annual Math Challenge, hosted by ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion and Marion Technical College. The top math students from 145 competitors were awarded a total of $13,500 in scholarships to these colleges.

The late Greg Swepston loved sports, but his passion was baseball. A former head baseball coach at Marion Harding in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Swepston also worked for decades as a Major League Baseball scout and was a regular at the annual hall of fame induction ceremonies in Cooperstown, N.Y. It's only fitting that a youth baseball and softball clinic be held in his honor.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion faculty, Senior Biology Lecturer, Melissa Petreaca; Senior English Lecturer, Peter Dully; and Assistant Professor of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology, Jonathan Calede were formally recognized with the 2023 Marion Campus Teaching Excellence Award during the campus's annual Academic Recognition Ceremony, Friday, April 21, in Morrill Hall Auditorium.

Through a partnership with the United Way of North Central Ohio, students in Senior Lecturer, Amy Tibbals's English 2367.01S service-learning course awarded $4,000 dollars in grants to three Marion area non-profit organizations, Thursday, April 27th, in Maynard Hall's Guthery Community Room.

Harding Symposium, Through the Photographer’s Lens: Exploring the United States Presidency, featuring famed author and Presidential photographer, Pete Souza, Friday, July 14 & Saturday July 15, 2023, in Marion, Ohio.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion hosted hosted the 10th Annual Undergraduate Research Colloquium on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in the Marion Campus Library.

Matt Carbary, former President of the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce and currently Operations Leader for Sims Bros. Recycling of Marion was honored with the Ralph Howard Service Award Friday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium during the campus's annual Academic Recognition Ceremony.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion Alum Austin King uses his English degree to help students succeed. King, a graduate of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion, is making a difference in the lives of students as a college and career readiness coach at Marion City Schools.
