What began nine years ago as a concept to introduce students to practical lessons in grant writing, grant approval, and non-profit organization stewardship has grown to become an important part of securing much needed funding for several Marion area non-profit organizations. For the community it strengthens the partnership between ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion and the United Way of Marion County, and provides a great experiential learning opportunity for students involved in English 2367.01S, the Pay It Forward student philanthropy initiative.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion Senior Lecturer of English, Peter Dully believes in the power of experiences. More specifically, building a campus of global citizens, students who have the opportunity to see and experience the world beyond central Ohio. On November 22, 2019, Dully donated $100,000 to fund these opportunities for current and future students.

Identical twins account for less than half of one percent of all births. Twin sisters and recent ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ graduates Brittany and Cailey Lower embraced that rarity and have followed the same educational and now career path, helping one another every step along the way.

A new bachelor’s degree program to be offered on ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s regional campuses will prepare graduates with skills needed for high-demand jobs in the state: business-oriented engineering leaders to run the factories of tomorrow.

Through hard work and determination, he realized that dream on August 31st of this year, marching during half-time in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s opening game against Florida Atlantic University.

Here are five tips to make the most of college and handle the challenges that your first semester will throw at you.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion Director of Community Relations and Development, Dave Claborn retired from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ last week after ten years of esteemed service to the campus, but his impact has always gone beyond his 8 to 5 p.m. job. On August 3, Claborn rode the 100 mile trek across the plains and hills of Ohio to raise awareness and money for cancer research.
