A dedicated team of ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Marion faculty, students, staff, and Marion volunteer cyclists that take part in The James Comprehensive Cancer Center’s annual three day cycling and fundraising event Pelotonia, were recently recognized by the organization for raising over $100,000 for cancer research over the past 9 years.
Students in Senior English Lecturer, Amy Tibbals’ autumn English 2367.01S service-learning course ended spring semester by awarding three local non-profit agencies a total of $5,000 to support the work each organization does in the community as part of an over-decade-long project at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Marion known as Pay It Forward.
(Marion) One test plus 180 students from 6 local schools equals $13,500 in scholarship funds awarded at the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Competition held on the campus of ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ at Marion and Marion Technically College, Friday, May 6th. A total of 180 students from 6 area middle schools (Elgin, Highland, North Union, Pleasant, Ridgedale and River Valley) came to the Marion campus to compete.
