ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion will soon pop up downtown with the opening of its new Downtown Engagement Hub. The hub, 146 N. Main St., will have a soft opening in July and a ribbon cutting in August or September.

Katie is a third-year psychology student at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ at Marion. She returned to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion after transitioning to the Columbus campus, and we sat down with her to learn more about her unique journey.

As ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion’s longest‑running literary journal approaches its 50th year, The Cornfield Review continues to serve as a creative cornerstone for the campus and the wider Central Ohio community.

Faculty, staff, students, university administration, alumni, and community members gathered to surprise and pay tribute to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Professor of Chemistry, Dr. Ryan Yoder, who was awarded The 2026 ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching, during his Monday organic chemistry II course in the Science and Engineering Building at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion.

A large group of faculty, staff, students, university administration, alumni, and community members gathered to surprise and pay tribute to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion Professor of History, Dr. Margaret Sumner with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Alumni Award for Distinguished teaching during her history 2610 class in Morrill Hall late Monday morning.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion invites the campus and broader community to celebrate the opening of the exhibit Wheels in Motion: Reimagining Renewal Through Cycles of Change at a special public artist reception on Wednesday, April 15 at 12:30 p.m. in The Wayne & Geraldine Kuhn Fine Arts Gallery, located off the lobby of Morrill Hall at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Marion, 1465 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Associate Professor of Classics, Dr. Katie Rask was recently awarded a three-month research residency, April through June 2026, from the Getty Research Institute.
