Awards
Dr. Nikole Patson, a professor in Ƶ College of Arts and Sciences Department of Psychology and faculty member at Ƶ at Marion, has been selected as a recipient of Ƶ’s 2025 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. Established during the 1959-1960 academic year, it is one of the university's most prestigious teaching awards.

Ƶ at Marion is advancing its mission through a dedicated STEM outreach program led by Qudsia Tahmina, Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Funded by the Honda education grant since 2023, this initiative was established to support Ƶ Marion's STEM camps and Summer Engineering Camps, which are designed to engage young engineers at the middle school level and beyond. Professor Tahmina's efforts have successfully secured over $50,000 in funding.

The Wayne & Geraldine Kuhn Fine Arts Gallery at Ƶ Marion will hold a public reception, Fri., April 4, 12:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall for the gallery exhibit, Sustainability Stories – Minding & Mending Our Ways: Moving Towards an Intentional Future. This event is free and open to the campus community and the public. The exhibit will be on display through September 2025.

Ƶ at Marion and Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen partnered lecture series Buckeye Talks on Tap welcomes Ƶ Marion Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Qudsia Tahmina to The Dock at Bucci’s, Tuesday, April 8 5:30 p.m. for a lecture entitled, “Engineering a Better Marion.”
